Actively involved in export promotion programs since 1989-90, Mr. Akshey Gupta began his career as a Licensed Custom House Broker with IATA accreditation. His dedication and excellence were recognized in 2006 and 2008 with awards from CONCOR for the best performance in the North Central region.
In 2000 he expanded overseas, establishing showrooms in Australia and actively promoting Indian products through trade fairs and retail sales — an enduring connection reflected in his status as a non-resident taxpayer there. In 2008–09 he served as Chairman & Administrator of a FIEO project in Europe, funded by the Government of India's Ministry of Commerce under the MAI Scheme, during which he established a showroom in Europe.
In 2022, the President of the European council, Mr. Laurentiu Rebega, impressed by his credentials, asked him to serve as Director General of the newly formed council in India. The inaugural function took place at the Romanian Embassy in Delhi, addressed by the Indian Ambassador in Romania via video conference. Following Mr. Laurentiu's decision to step down, Mr. Gupta assumed leadership of the council.
With 40 years of expertise in exports, aviation, mass management, and hospitality, Sunil Malhotra is a seasoned professional. Proficient in coordinating cultural programs, exhibitions, seminars, and logistics, he has actively contributed as a member of semi-government teams across various councils, chambers, and trade bodies.
Beyond his administrative roles, he brings practical experience as an exporter of leather garments and accessories. His firsthand knowledge of export procedures and documentation underscores his comprehensive understanding of the export landscape.
Holder of a master's degree in Arts from Delhi University, Pooja has 7 years of expertise in logistics, particularly in an IATA-accredited cargo agency. Specializing in documentation and the handling of dangerous goods for air-mode customs clearance, she has comprehensive knowledge of computers, web design, and accounts.
Known for multitasking efficiency and adept problem-solving, she maintains balance amidst varying workloads in dynamic environments. Her experience also extends to managing the human relations department of a commercial organization.
